BingX vs Coinbase International: which to use

BingX vs Coinbase International comes down to fees, market count and leverage. BingX charges 2 bp maker and 5 bp taker, lists 1240 perp markets and offers up to 500x. Coinbase International charges 2 bp maker and 4 bp taker, lists 131 markets and offers up to 50x. Coinbase International pays funding every hour on every market, while BingX uses 1, 4 or 8 hours depending on the market. Pick BingX for breadth, real-world assets and high leverage. Pick Coinbase International for a lower taker fee and uniform hourly funding.

How each exchange is built

BingX is a centralized exchange (CEX): you open an account with the company, and the account holds your funds. Coinbase International is also a CEX with account-held funds. Both match orders on a central limit order book, so you trade against other users' resting orders on each.

What each charges in fees

BingX's base tier is 2 bp maker and 5 bp taker, per BingX's perpetual futures fee schedule. Coinbase International's base tier is 2 bp maker and 4 bp taker, per Coinbase International's fee page.

A market order pays the taker fee to open and again to close: 10 bp per round trip on BingX, 8 bp on Coinbase International. A limit order that rests on the book pays the maker fee instead, 2 bp on both. The maker rate is the same, so the fee gap only shows up on market orders.

Fees are only part of a trade's cost. Slippage is the price you move by eating through the order book, and it grows with size. The cost table above adds the taker fee twice to the slippage we read from each live order book at $1k to $5M, so it shows more than the fee alone. Every exchange's trading cost is compared on one page.

How many markets and how much leverage

As of 1 October 2026, BingX lists 1240 active perp markets, 234 of them stocks, commodities, FX or other real-world assets. Coinbase International lists 131, of which 34 are real-world assets. If you want a wide choice of assets or stock and commodity perps, BingX has more of both.

BingX allows up to 500x on its highest-leverage market and Coinbase International up to 50x. Most markets on each allow less.

Funding is the periodic payment between longs and shorts, and a positive rate means longs pay shorts. Coinbase International pays it every hour on every market. BingX pays every 1, 4 or 8 hours depending on the market, so check the interval before you hold a position. An hourly market settles 24 times a day, an 8-hour market three times. The list further down this page shows the markets both exchanges have, with each one's funding rate.

Who can use each exchange

BingX requires KYC. Advanced KYC is needed to deposit or trade, and unverified accounts can only withdraw, up to 20,000 USDT a day. Rules vary by region.

Coinbase International also requires KYC: ID and a suitability check. Its perps are for eligible non-US countries, and it is closed to US and UK retail.

Reading the numbers on this page

Both exchanges publish open interest as one side of open positions, so the open interest row and chart above compare like with like. Neither exchange has a TVL, as is usual for a centralized exchange, so the TVL row and chart show no figure for either.

For volume, depth and cost per trade, read the Head to head table and the charts above, which refresh every minute. The funding arbitrage ranking lists every pair of exchanges by funding spread if you want to see how funding differs across assets.
