allBitget vs HTX: which to use
Bitget vs HTX is a pair of centralized exchanges with the same base fees: 2 bp maker and 6 bp taker on both. What decides it is KYC, market count and leverage. Bitget requires KYC, lists 862 perp markets and offers up to 150x. HTX lets you start trading without ID inside limits, lists 370 markets and offers up to 200x. Accounts opened without ID since 2026-03-30 get futures up to 5x and no API trading. Pick by whether you want to skip ID at the start or want a wider market list.
How each exchange is built
Bitget is a centralized exchange (CEX): you open an account with the company, and the account holds your funds. HTX is built the same way. Both match orders on a central limit order book. For the trader this means an account at a company on both sides, and an order book on both.
Fees and what they mean
The base tier is identical. Bitget charges 2 bp (0.02%) maker and 6 bp (0.06%) taker, per Bitget's fee page. HTX charges 2 bp maker and 6 bp taker, per HTX's fee page.
A market order pays the taker fee on entry and again on exit: 12 bp per round trip on both exchanges. A limit order that rests on the book pays the maker fee instead, 2 bp on each. With equal fees, the fee alone does not separate them.
The fee is only part of a trade's cost. Slippage, the price you move by eating through the order book, grows with size. The cost table above adds the taker fee twice and the measured slippage at each size from $1k to $5M, and every exchange's trading cost is compared on one page.
Markets and leverage
As of 1 October 2026 Bitget lists 862 active perps, 345 of them stocks, commodities, FX or other real-world assets. HTX lists 370, 251 of them real-world assets. Bitget has more markets in total. HTX has the larger share of its list in real-world assets.
HTX offers up to 200x on its highest-leverage market and Bitget up to 150x; most markets on both allow less. Both pay funding every 1 hour, 4 hours or 8 hours depending on the market. Check a market's interval before you hold it: an hourly market settles 24 times a day, an 8-hour market three times. The list further down this page shows the markets both exchanges have and each one's funding rate.
Who can use them
Bitget requires KYC. It has been mandatory since September 2023, and unverified accounts can only withdraw and close positions.
HTX lets you start trading without ID, inside limits that verification lifts. For accounts opened without ID since 2026-03-30, futures are limited to 5x and API trading is closed. More leverage and the API need level-2 KYC.
Tokens
Bitget's token is $BGB. HTX's token is $HTX.
Reading the numbers on this page
Both exchanges publish open interest as one side of open positions, so the open interest row and chart above compare like for like.
Neither exchange has a TVL row or chart on the page, as is usual for a centralized exchange. The volume chart and the Head to head table carry the size comparison instead.
