HTX or BloFin: which to use

HTX vs BloFin is a choice between two centralized exchanges with the same base fees: 2 bp maker and 6 bp taker. As of 1 October 2026, HTX offers up to 200x leverage and 251 real-world asset markets. BloFin lists more markets in total, 495 against 370, and offers up to 150x. The ID rules differ. An HTX account opened since 2026-03-30 without ID gets futures up to 5x and no API trading. BloFin allows futures with no leverage limit without ID, but caps withdrawals at 20,000 USDT a day. Leverage, API access and market mix decide it for most traders.

How each exchange is built

HTX is a centralized exchange (CEX): you open an account with the company, and the account holds your funds. It matches orders on a central limit order book. BloFin is built the same way, a CEX with an account and a central limit order book. For the trader, the build is identical. The differences are in fees, markets and access.

Fees and what they mean

HTX's base tier is 2 bp maker and 6 bp taker, per HTX's fee page. BloFin's base tier is also 2 bp maker and 6 bp taker, per BloFin's fee page. The base rates are the same, so the fee does not separate them.

A market order pays the taker fee to open and again to close: 12 bp per round trip on both exchanges. A limit order that rests on the book pays the maker fee instead, 2 bp. The fee is only part of a trade's cost. Slippage is the price you move by eating through the order book, and it grows with size. The cost table above adds both at each size from $1k to $5M, and every exchange's trading cost is compared on one page.

Markets and leverage

As of 1 October 2026 BloFin has 495 active perpetual markets, 115 of them stocks, commodities, FX or other real-world assets. HTX has 370, of which 251 are real-world assets. HTX has the larger share of stocks, commodities and FX. BloFin has the longer list overall.

HTX allows up to 200x and BloFin up to 150x on their highest-leverage markets. Most markets on both allow less. Both pay funding every 1 hour, 4 hours or 8 hours depending on the market. Check a market's interval before you hold it: an hourly market settles 24 times a day, an 8-hour market three times. Funding is the periodic payment between longs and shorts, and a positive rate means longs pay shorts. The list further down this page shows the markets both exchanges have and each one's funding rate.

Who can use them

Both exchanges let you start trading without ID, inside limits that verification lifts. On HTX, an account opened since 2026-03-30 without ID can trade futures up to 5x and cannot use API trading. More leverage and the API need level-2 KYC.

On BloFin, you can trade futures with no ID and no leverage limit. Withdrawals are capped at 20,000 USDT a day until you verify.

Tokens

HTX has a token, $HTX.
