More comparisons
allMEXC vs Bitget: which one to use
MEXC vs Bitget is two centralized exchanges that both match on an order book, so the choice rests on fees, markets and access. MEXC charges 1 bp maker and 4 bp taker, lists 1202 perp markets as of 1 October 2026 and goes up to 1000x. Bitget charges 2 bp maker and 6 bp taker, lists 862 markets as of 1 October 2026, 345 of them real-world assets, and goes up to 150x. Both require KYC, but Bitget lets unverified accounts withdraw and close positions, while MEXC shows them market data only. Pick MEXC for lower fees, breadth and leverage. Pick Bitget for stocks and commodities.
How each exchange is built
MEXC is a centralized exchange (CEX): you open an account with the company, and the account holds your funds. Bitget is built the same way. Both match orders on a central limit order book. You trade from an account, not from a self-custody wallet.
Fees and what they mean
MEXC's base tier is 1 bp maker and 4 bp taker. We read these rates from MEXC's API, and MEXC has no fee page to link. Bitget's base tier is 2 bp maker and 6 bp taker, per Bitget's fee page.
A market order pays the taker fee on entry and again on exit. That is 8 bp per round trip on MEXC and 12 bp on Bitget. A limit order that rests on the book pays the maker fee instead: 1 bp on MEXC and 2 bp on Bitget.
The fee is only part of a trade's cost. Slippage is the price you move by eating through the order book, and it grows with size. The cost table above adds the fee and the measured slippage at each size from $1k to $5M. Trading cost on every exchange is compared on one page.
Markets and leverage
As of 1 October 2026 MEXC lists 1202 active perpetual markets, 93 of them stocks, commodities, FX or other real-world assets. Bitget lists 862, of which 345 are real-world assets. MEXC has more markets in total. Bitget has more real-world asset perps, both in count and as a share of its list.
MEXC offers up to 1000x on its highest-leverage market, and Bitget up to 150x. Most markets on both allow less, so check the cap of the market you want before you size a position.
Funding is the periodic payment between longs and shorts, and a positive rate means longs pay shorts. MEXC pays it every 1 hour, 4 hours, 8 hours or 24 hours depending on the market. Bitget pays every 1 hour, 4 hours or 8 hours. An hourly market settles 24 times a day and an 8-hour market three times, so a position held across a rate change pays or earns it in smaller, more frequent steps on the hourly market. A 24-hour market settles once a day. The list further down this page shows the markets both exchanges have and each one's funding rate. The funding matrix puts every exchange side by side.
Who can use them
Both exchanges require KYC. MEXC has required KYC before trading since February 2026, and unverified accounts see market data only. Bitget has required it since September 2023, and unverified accounts can only withdraw and close positions. If your account is unverified, Bitget lets you take funds out and close what is open. MEXC shows you the market and nothing else.
Tokens
MEXC's token is $MX. Bitget's token is $BGB. The Head to head table above lists them by symbol only.
Reading the numbers on this page
Both exchanges publish open interest as one side of open positions. The open interest row and chart above are therefore a like-for-like comparison of position size on this pair, which is not true when one exchange counts longs plus shorts.
Neither exchange has a TVL row or chart. Centralized exchanges publish no TVL, so those parts of the page stay empty for both. For size, use the volume and open interest charts instead.
Which one fits you
- Pick MEXC if you trade mostly with market orders: 4 bp taker against 6 bp.
- Pick MEXC if you rest limit orders on the book: 1 bp maker against 2 bp.
- Pick MEXC if you want the longer list of crypto and other perps: 1202 markets against 862, as of 1 October 2026.
- Pick MEXC if you need more than 150x: it goes up to 1000x on its highest-leverage market.
- Pick Bitget if you want stocks, commodities and FX on the same exchange as your crypto: 345 real-world asset markets against 93, as of 1 October 2026.
- Pick Bitget if an account may sit unverified for a while and you still need to withdraw and close positions.
