More comparisons
allVariational Omni or BingX: which to use
Variational Omni vs BingX is a decentralized exchange against a centralized one. On Variational Omni you trade from a self-custody wallet without ID, with 0 bp maker and taker fees and up to 50x. BingX holds your funds in an account, requires advanced KYC to deposit or trade, charges 2 bp maker and 5 bp taker, and offers up to 500x on 1240 markets. Custody, fees and the leverage ceiling decide it for most traders. Pick Variational Omni for no ID and zero base fees, and BingX for more markets and higher leverage.
How each exchange is built
Variational Omni is a decentralized exchange (DEX) on Arbitrum. You trade from a self-custody wallet. It has no public order book: a market maker quotes each trade through request-for-quote (RFQ) matching.
BingX is a centralized exchange (CEX). You open an account with the company, and the account holds your funds. It matches orders on a central limit order book, so you can rest limit orders and read the book's depth.
Fees and what they mean
Variational Omni's base tier is 0 bp maker and 0 bp taker, per Variational's fee page. BingX's base tier is 2 bp maker and 5 bp taker, per BingX's fee page.
A market order pays the taker fee to open and again to close. That is 0 bp per round trip on Variational Omni and 10 bp on BingX. A limit order that rests on the BingX book pays the 2 bp maker fee instead. Variational Omni's maker and taker fees are both 0 bp, so its base fee does not change by order type.
A fee is only part of what a trade costs. Slippage is the price you move by eating through the order book, and it grows with size. The cost table above adds the taker fee twice to the slippage we read from each exchange's live book at each size. Every exchange's trading cost is also compared on one page.
Markets and leverage
As of 1 October 2026, Variational Omni lists 557 active perpetual markets, 121 of them stocks, commodities, FX or other real-world assets. BingX lists 1240, 234 of them real-world assets.
Variational Omni allows up to 50x on its highest-leverage market, and BingX up to 500x. Most markets on both allow less. Funding is paid every 1 hour, 4 hours or 8 hours depending on the market, on both exchanges. An hourly market settles 24 times a day and an 8-hour market three times. Check a market's interval before you hold it, because a position held through more settlements takes more funding payments, paid or received. The list further down this page shows the markets both exchanges have and each one's funding rate. The funding spread ranking covers every other pair.
Who can use them
Variational Omni asks for no ID. It is closed to US and Canadian persons, Taiwan and sanctioned regions.
BingX requires advanced KYC to deposit or trade. An unverified account can only withdraw, up to 20,000 USDT a day. Rules vary by region, so check the rules for yours.
Token, points and vaults
Variational Omni has no token yet. Its points and airdrop program had the status "Active" as of 19 September 2026, and the airdrops page tracks programs across exchanges. It runs no vault that arb.sh tracks.
Reading the numbers on this page
Variational Omni publishes open interest as the sum of traders' longs and shorts, against a pool or dealer. BingX publishes one side of open positions. For the same positions, Variational Omni's figure reads about twice as large. The open interest row and chart above are therefore not a like-for-like comparison of size.
Neither exchange has a TVL row. DefiLlama has no figure for Variational Omni, and a centralized exchange such as BingX publishes none, so the TVL chart has nothing to show for this pair.
Variational Omni prices by quote, so there is no public order book for it.
