The short answer

TrueNorth does not rank funding pairs across exchanges, and its overlap with arb.sh is small: both show funding data and both offer alerts. Three things differ. TrueNorth gives one aggregated or single-venue funding figure per token, while arb.sh ranks every exchange pair by Paid 7d and Net 7d at your position size. TrueNorth writes analysis and trade setups and sends the orders you confirm, while arb.sh does not execute trades. arb.sh is free with no account and covers 62 exchanges, while TrueNorth needs a sign-in and bills its paid tiers in monthly credits. Use arb.sh to find and price a cross-exchange pair, and TrueNorth for analysis and execution.

Where TrueNorth and arb.sh overlap, and why it is small

The two do different jobs. TrueNorth is an AI trading assistant with a non-custodial trading interface; its Terms call it a "market intelligence and analytics platform". arb.sh is a data site for funding and price arbitrage between perpetual exchanges. Both show funding data, at very different depths, and both cover crypto alongside real-world assets.

TrueNorth suggests alerts in its chat for you to confirm, and the arb.sh Telegram bot sends the alerts you set and answers funding and spread lookups. The TrueNorth home page shows six venue logos: Hyperliquid, Lighter, Binance, Bybit, Bitget and Variational. All six are on arb.sh.

What each one covers, and why there is no exchange-by-exchange list

TrueNorth describes its coverage by asset class, data source and token count, not by exchange. Its Terms cover crypto, crypto options and derivatives, US equities, commodities and prediction markets; its FAQ names the "top 500 tokens"; its docs cite "40+ real-time data sources". The derivatives venues in its public API are Hyperliquid (with HIP-3 assets), Ondo Perps, Binance futures and Bybit futures.

As of 6 October 2026, arb.sh lists 62 perpetual exchanges: 48 decentralized (DEX) and 14 centralized (CEX), all on the exchange list. TrueNorth publishes no exchange-by-exchange list to set against it, so this page does not compare exchanges.

How a funding pair gets priced: one figure per token, or Net at your size

In the TrueNorth chat, funding is one aggregated or single-venue number per token, shown next to open interest and a liquidation heatmap; it does not compare the same market across exchanges. As of 6 October 2026, TrueNorth does not have a funding arbitrage screener, and the Capabilities page of its docs lists "CEX order book depth" under "Cannot Do". arb.sh ranks every exchange pair on every asset by funding spread and by two columns in the row:

Paid 7d
Settled funding that actually changed hands over the period, not the rate currently advertised.
Net 7d
Paid minus taker fees and order-book slippage to open and close both legs at the stated position size.

Slippage is measured by walking the live order book of each market, not assumed. You set the size: the default is $10,000, and $100,000 and $1,000,000 are also measured, so Net changes when the size does. The about page explains how the site defines Paid and Net.

Checking whether a pair would have paid before you enter

The same Capabilities page lists "Strategy backtesting" under "Cannot Do". The arb.sh backtest replays any long/short pair on any asset over up to 90 days, with every line itemized: funding received and paid on each leg, taker fees on entry and exit, slippage, drawdown and the net result, plus the top pairs for the asset over the same period. Nothing is typed in: the fees are each exchange's real taker fee and the slippage is measured at your size.

arb.sh keeps settled funding with no 30-day ceiling. Its own recording began on 18 September 2026; on exchanges that publish no funding history, the record starts that day. A backtest replays settled funding. It is not a forecast.

What else arb.sh has that TrueNorth does not

As of 6 October 2026, TrueNorth does not have any of these. On arb.sh each is free and readable without signing in:

  • The price arbitrage screener shows where the same perp trades at different prices on two exchanges, priced after costs.
  • Execution cost shows the taker fee plus measured slippage at $10k, $100k and $1M on every exchange, and which exchanges can fill each size.
  • Market stats show DEX volume, open interest and market share over time.
  • The points farm page shows which perp DEXs have no token yet and run points programs, and the airdrops page links each row to the exchange's own docs.
  • Vaults lists the vaults that perp DEXs run, with TVL, 7- and 30-day return, drawdown and lock.

What TrueNorth does that arb.sh does not

  • An AI chat that writes analysis and trade setups (entry, stop-loss, take-profit) with charts, across crypto, US equities, commodities and prediction markets.
  • Trading from the site: the non-custodial interface sends your orders to connected wallets or exchange accounts, and no order goes out until you confirm its final parameters. arb.sh does not execute trades, and its Trade buttons open the exchange.
  • Automated agents that can place orders within limits you set.
  • In-chat data on options, Hyperliquid smart-money and whale positions, liquidation heatmaps, Polymarket odds, US stock fundamentals, earnings and macro calendars.
  • An MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT, and a public read-only REST API with an OpenAPI spec. arb.sh has no API, only CSV exports and llms.txt.
  • Discord and YouTube channels.

Stay on TrueNorth for AI setups, options and smart-money data, execution from one interface, or agents working inside your limits. A cross-exchange funding search can sit beside it as a separate step: price the pair on arb.sh, then trade wherever you trade.

What each site costs

arb.sh has no plans: no account, no API key, nothing paywalled. The TrueNorth app needs a sign-in with Google, X or email, and has free and paid tiers billed monthly in credits, which AI queries, trade setups, the trading interface and agents use. As of 6 October 2026 it lists two paid plans: Pro, with 18k credits a month and 4 concurrent agents, and Max, with unlimited credits and 16 concurrent agents.
