More comparisons
allBybit vs Bitget: which to use
Bybit vs Bitget is a choice between two centralized exchanges with near-identical terms. Both hold your funds in an account, match on a central limit order book, require KYC, and allow up to 150x. Bybit charges 2 bp maker and 5.5 bp taker; Bitget charges 2 bp maker and 6 bp taker. Bitget lists more perp markets and more stocks and commodities, and has a token, $BGB. Bybit has the lower taker fee. Taker cost, real-world asset coverage and a token are the differences that matter most here.
How each exchange is built
Bybit is a centralized exchange (CEX): you open an account with the company, and the account holds your funds. Bitget is built the same way. Both match orders on a central limit order book.
Fees and what they mean
Bybit's base tier is 2 bp maker and 5.5 bp taker, per Bybit's fee page. Bitget's is 2 bp maker and 6 bp taker, per Bitget's fee page.
The maker rate is the same. The taker rate differs by 0.5 bp. A market order pays the taker fee to open and again to close: 11 bp per round trip on Bybit and 12 bp on Bitget. A limit order that rests on the book pays the 2 bp maker fee on both exchanges.
Fees are only part of a trade's cost. Slippage, the price you move by eating through the order book, grows with size. The cost table above adds both at each size from $1k to $5M, and every exchange's trading cost is compared on one page.
Markets and leverage
As of 1 October 2026 Bybit lists 857 active perpetual markets, 237 of them stocks, commodities, FX or other real-world assets. Bitget lists 862, with 345 real-world assets. Bitget has more of both, and the gap in real-world assets is larger than the gap in total markets. The real-world asset perps page covers this category across exchanges.
Both exchanges offer up to 150x on their highest-leverage market, and most markets allow less. Both pay funding every 1 hour, 4 hours or 8 hours depending on the market. Check a market's interval before you hold it: an hourly market settles 24 times a day, an 8-hour market three times, so the same rate adds up differently. The list further down this page shows the markets both exchanges have and each one's funding rate.
Who can use them
Both require KYC. On Bybit, standard verification is mandatory for every product. On Bitget, KYC has been mandatory since Sep 2023, and unverified accounts can only withdraw and close positions. In practice, neither lets you open new positions without verification.
Tokens
Bitget's token is $BGB.
Reading the numbers on this page
Bybit publishes open interest as longs plus shorts, both sides of every position. Bitget publishes one side of open positions. For the same positions Bybit's figure reads about twice as large, so the open interest row and chart above are not a like-for-like comparison of size.
Neither exchange has a TVL row or chart, since centralized exchanges publish none. Volume, depth and funding are read live from each exchange, so use the Head to head table for today's figures.
