Binance vs BingX: which to use

Binance vs BingX is a choice between two centralized exchanges with the same base fees: 2 bp maker and 5 bp taker. The differences are in markets and leverage. BingX lists more perps and more real-world asset markets, and goes up to 500x against Binance's 150x. Binance charges regular users 0 maker and 0.04% taker on its stock and commodity perps. Pick BingX for market count and maximum leverage. Pick Binance if you trade its stock and commodity perps with that fee schedule.

How each exchange is built

Binance is a centralized exchange (CEX): you open an account with the company, and the account holds your funds. BingX works the same way. Both match orders on a central limit order book, so on both you trade against other users' resting orders.

Fees and what they mean

Both exchanges charge the same base tier: 2 bp (0.02%) maker and 5 bp (0.05%) taker. Binance's rate is on its fee page and BingX's is on its perpetual futures fee schedule. One basis point is 0.01% of the position.

Binance's stock and commodity perps are the exception. Regular users pay 0 maker and 0.04% taker on them, "until further notice" (Binance announcement, checked 29 September 2026).

A market order pays the taker fee to open and again to close: 10 bp per round trip on both exchanges at the base tier. A limit order that rests on the book pays the maker fee, 2 bp on each. With equal fees, the fee does not separate them on crypto perps.

The fee is only part of a trade's cost. Slippage is the price you move by eating through the order book, and it grows with size. The cost table above adds it to the taker fee twice at each size from $1k to $5M. Every exchange's execution cost is also compared on one page.

Markets and leverage

As of 1 October 2026, Binance has 783 active perpetual markets, of which 213 are stocks, commodities, FX or other real-world assets. BingX has 1240, of which 234 are real-world assets. The RWA page covers perps on stocks, gold, commodities, FX and indices across exchanges.

Binance's highest leverage on any market is 150x. BingX's is 500x. Most markets on both allow less, so check the cap on the market you plan to trade. A Binance futures account under 30 days old is capped at 20x.

Both exchanges pay funding every 1 hour, 4 hours or 8 hours, depending on the market. Funding is the periodic payment between longs and shorts, and a positive rate means longs pay shorts. An hourly market settles 24 times a day and an 8-hour market three times. A short interval means a rate change shows up in your balance sooner. Check the interval before you hold a position over several days.

The list further down this page shows the markets both exchanges have, each one's funding rate and the spread between them. Funding arbitrage ranks every exchange pair by that spread.

Who can use them

Both exchanges require KYC. Binance requires verified KYC to deposit or trade. BingX requires advanced KYC to deposit or trade. A BingX account without verification can only withdraw, up to 20,000 USDT a day, and BingX's rules vary by region. Neither lets you trade without an identity check.

Tokens

Binance's token is $BNB.

Reading the numbers on this page

Both exchanges publish open interest as one side of open positions. The open interest row and chart above therefore compare like for like. That would not hold against an exchange that publishes longs plus shorts, which reads about twice as large.

Neither exchange has a TVL row or chart on the page, because centralized exchanges publish none. TVL on arb.sh is DefiLlama's figure for a DEX, and a CEX has no equivalent. For size, use the volume and open interest charts and the Head to head table.

Which one fits you

  • Pick Binance if you trade stock and commodity perps and want 0 maker and 0.04% taker as a regular user.
  • Pick BingX if you want a wider choice of perps: 1240 markets against 783.
  • Pick BingX if you trade real-world assets and want more of them: 234 markets against 213.
  • Pick BingX if you need more than 150x: it goes up to 500x on its highest-leverage markets.
