Thursday is the one that matters: GDP, core PCE and the ECB all inside 45 minutes. 1⃣ Tue 27 Oct — 12:30 UTC — Durable goods, then confidence at 14:00 UTC Consumer confidence printed 81.9 in September, the lowest since 2014, with the expectations sub-index at 63.6 — below the 80 line that usually signals recession. $70bn 5-year auction at 17:00 UTC. 2⃣ Wed 28 Oct — 18:00 UTC — FOMC decision Roughly 92% priced to hold. Warsh presser at 18:30 UTC. No dot plot at this meeting, so the statement language and the press conference are the entire signal. Bank of Canada decides at 13:45 UTC the same morning, and the UK Autumn Budget lands during US hours. Microsoft and Alphabet report after the close. 3⃣ Thu 29 Oct — 12:30 UTC — Q3 GDP, September core PCE and claims, all at once Core PCE ran 3.0% in August. Consensus looks for 3.1%.
