Until yours lands, that stale quote is sitting there for the fastest taker on the other side to lift. A stable p99 beats a fast p50, because jitter is what costs you the most. At 100 orders per second that is one exposure every second, and on a $1M quote a single basis point of it is $100. Practical example: Say you are quoting $1M SOL ask on the venue with the longest tail on the Benchmark, one order in a hundred takes 3.9 seconds to land. $SOL has moved 1.3bp by then, meaning $129 is on the table. On the other hand, the same order lands in 28.9ms on low latency venue like Bullet, where the move is 0.03bp ~ $3, which saves you $126. 09-26 22:49Bluefin제품Following AlphaFi’s announcement that it will be winding down operations, we want to provide an update to the Bluefin community. The incident referenced in the post below did not impact Bluefin or any Bluefin user funds. For additional context, Bluefin’s formal role as a distribution partner for AlphaLend concluded on May 17, 2026. Following a transition period, AlphaLend was fully phased out of the Bluefin platform with the launch of Bluefin Lend 2.0 on September 18. Bluefin therefore has no active lending integration with AlphaLend, and the incident has had no impact on Bluefin users or user funds. Separately, Bluefin Auto Pools powered by AlphaFi were not impacted by the incident, with no related security issues or loss of user funds. Following AlphaFi’s decision to wind down operations, we encourage Auto Pool users to withdraw their positions and, if they wish to continue providing liquidity, redeposit into the corresponding manual LP pools. Bluefin is evaluating the appropriate next steps for Auto Pools as part of this transition. The pools represent a small portion of total protocol funds, and all funds remain unaffected and fully accessible to users. Security has been a number one priority for Bluefin since day zero. Across more than five years of operation, Bluefin has maintained a strong security track record, supported by extensive audits, monitoring, formal verifications, bug bounties, and a continued focus on protecting user funds. A market order is matched against the best available prices in the order book, one price level at a time. With slippage protection enabled, the system sets an acceptable price range for the market order, and the order continues to match only within that range. If the next available price is outside the protected range, the order stops matching and the unfilled portion is automatically canceled according to the applicable rules. Any portion already filled within the protected range is not affected. 2. Key Features - Limits Excessive Slippage Sets a price boundary for market orders. This reduces the risk of fills at prices far from what you expected during extreme volatility or when market depth is insufficient. - Supports Partial Fills Orders fill normally within the protected range. If the remaining quantity had to fill at prices beyond the range, the system stops matching and cancels the unfilled portion. - Balances Speed and Risk Control Keeps the fast execution of market orders and adds a protective boundary on fill prices. - Applied Automatically to Futures Market Orders When you place a market order in futures trading, the system applies slippage protection rules while the order executes. 3. Use Cases Market Order Slippage Protection is particularly useful when: - The market is rising or falling rapidly and order book prices change sharply within a short time. - The trading pair has limited market depth, with wide gaps between bid and ask price levels. - The order is large and may consume multiple price levels in the order book. - You want a market order to fill quickly while keeping price deviation within an acceptable limit.
