OKX vs BloFin: which to use

OKX vs BloFin is a comparison of two centralized exchanges with the same maker fee and different trade-offs. Both charge 2 bp maker. OKX charges 5 bp taker against BloFin's 6 bp, and it requires advanced verification before you trade, deposit or withdraw. BloFin starts trading without ID and offers up to 150x against OKX's 100x, with withdrawals capped at 20,000 USDT a day until you verify. BloFin lists more markets, while OKX lists more stocks, commodities and FX. KYC, taker fee and leverage are the main differences between them.

How each exchange is built

OKX is a centralized exchange (CEX): you open an account with the company, and the account holds your funds. BloFin is built the same way. Both match orders on a central limit order book. For the trader this means an exchange account on both sides, not a self-custody wallet.

Fees and what they mean

OKX's base tier is 2 bp maker and 5 bp taker, per OKX's fee source. BloFin's base tier is 2 bp maker and 6 bp taker, per BloFin's fee page.

A market order pays the taker fee to open and again to close: 10 bp per round trip on OKX and 12 bp on BloFin. A limit order that rests on the book pays the maker fee instead, 2 bp on both. If you trade mostly with limit orders, the fee gap disappears. If you trade with market orders, the 1 bp taker difference is paid twice on every round trip.

Fees are only part of a trade's cost. Slippage, the price you move by eating through the order book, grows with size. The cost table above adds the taker fee twice and the measured slippage at each size from $1k to $5M, and every exchange's trading cost is compared on one page.

Markets and leverage

As of 1 October 2026 OKX lists 480 active perps, 191 of them stocks, commodities, FX or other real-world assets. BloFin lists 495, 115 of them real-world assets. BloFin has 15 more markets in total, and OKX has 76 more real-world asset markets.

OKX allows up to 100x and BloFin up to 150x on their highest-leverage markets; most markets allow less. BloFin states no leverage limit for futures traded without ID.

Funding is the periodic payment between longs and shorts of a perp. A positive rate means longs pay shorts. OKX pays funding every 4 hours or 8 hours depending on the market. BloFin pays every 1 hour, 4 hours or 8 hours depending on the market. Check a market's interval before you hold it: an hourly market settles 24 times a day, an 8-hour market three times, so a position held across the day takes more, smaller payments on an hourly market. The list further down this page shows the markets both exchanges have and each one's funding rate.

Who can use them

OKX requires KYC: advanced verification before trading, deposits or withdrawals. BloFin limits KYC without ID. Trading starts without ID, inside limits that verification lifts. You can trade futures without ID and with no leverage limit, but withdrawals are capped at 20,000 USDT a day until you verify.

Tokens

OKX's token is $OKB.

Reading the numbers on this page

Both exchanges publish open interest as one side of open positions, so the open interest row and chart above compare like with like for this pair.

Neither exchange has a TVL row or chart, as is usual for a centralized exchange, so the TVL section of the page has nothing to show for either. For funding history of a coin on both exchanges, use the funding chart above; for every exchange pair ranked by funding spread, see funding arbitrage.

Which one fits you
