More comparisons
allOKX vs Bitget: which to use
OKX vs Bitget is a choice between two centralized exchanges that both require KYC, so the decision rests on fees, market count, leverage and funding interval. OKX charges 2 bp maker and 5 bp taker, against 2 bp and 6 bp on Bitget. Bitget lists more perps (862 against 480) and allows up to 150x, against 100x on OKX. Bitget also pays funding as often as every hour. Pick OKX for the lower taker fee on market orders. Pick Bitget for more markets, more real-world assets and higher leverage.
How each exchange is built
OKX is a centralized exchange (CEX): you open an account with the company, and the account holds your funds. Bitget is built the same way. Both match orders on a central limit order book, so on either one you trade from an account against a book of resting orders.
Fees and what they mean
OKX's base tier is 2 bp maker and 5 bp taker, per OKX's fee page. Bitget's base tier is 2 bp maker and 6 bp taker, per Bitget's fee page.
A fee in basis points (bp) is 0.01% of the position. A market order pays the taker fee to open and again to close: 10 bp per round trip on OKX and 12 bp on Bitget. A limit order that rests on the book and fills later pays the maker fee instead, 2 bp on both exchanges. If you use limit orders, the fee gap disappears at the base tier.
The fee is only part of a market order's cost. Slippage is the price you move by eating through the order book, and it grows with size. The cost table above adds the taker fee twice and the measured slippage at each size from $1k to $5M. Every exchange's trading cost is compared on one page.
Markets and leverage
As of 1 October 2026 OKX has 480 active perpetual markets, 191 of them stocks, commodities, FX or other real-world assets. Bitget has 862, of which 345 are real-world assets. If you want a long list of altcoins or stock and commodity perps on one exchange, Bitget has the larger set.
OKX offers up to 100x on its highest-leverage market and Bitget up to 150x. Most markets on both allow less, so check the limit of the market you plan to trade.
Funding is the periodic payment between longs and shorts of a perp. A positive rate means longs pay shorts. OKX pays funding every 4 hours or 8 hours depending on the market. Bitget pays every 1 hour, 4 hours or 8 hours. An hourly market settles 24 times a day and an 8-hour market three times, so a position held on an hourly market pays or receives funding in more frequent payments. The list further down this page shows the markets both exchanges have, each one's funding rate and the spread between them. The funding arbitrage ranking ranks every exchange pair on every asset.
Who can use them
Both exchanges require KYC. OKX requires advanced verification before you trade, deposit or withdraw. Bitget has made KYC mandatory since September 2023, and unverified accounts can only withdraw and close positions. Plan for verification on either one before you fund an account.
Tokens
OKX's token is $OKB. Bitget's token is $BGB.
Reading the numbers on this page
Both exchanges publish open interest as one side of open positions, so the open interest row and chart above compare like with like. Neither exchange has a TVL row or chart, because centralized exchanges publish none.
The cost table above is measured by us from each exchange's live order book, so read it for the size you trade. The fee rates in this article are base-tier rates, and the Head to head table shows the current figures for volume, depth and funding.
