Bitget or BloFin: which to use

Bitget vs BloFin is a comparison of two centralized exchanges with the same base fees: 2 bp maker and 6 bp taker. Both offer up to 150x. Bitget lists 862 perp markets, 345 of them real-world assets, against 495 and 115 on BloFin. BloFin lets you trade futures without ID, with no leverage limit and withdrawals capped at 20,000 USDT a day until you verify. Bitget requires KYC, and unverified accounts can only withdraw and close positions. The market lists and the ID rules are where the two differ.

How each exchange is built

Bitget is a centralized exchange (CEX): you open an account with the company, and the account holds your funds. It matches orders on a central limit order book. BloFin is built the same way: a CEX with an account that holds your funds and a central limit order book. The difference for you is not the build but the access rules and the market lists.

Fees and what they mean

Bitget's base tier is 2 bp maker and 6 bp taker, per Bitget's fee page. BloFin's base tier is the same, 2 bp maker and 6 bp taker, per BloFin's fee page.

Because the rates match, the fee alone does not separate them. A market order pays the taker fee to open and again to close: 12 bp per round trip on both. A limit order that rests on the book pays the maker fee instead, 2 bp.

Fees are only part of a trade's cost. Slippage is the price you move by eating through the order book, and it grows with size. The cost table above adds the taker fee twice and the measured slippage at each size from $1k to $5M, so it shows differences the fee does not. Every exchange's trading cost is compared on one page.

Markets and leverage

As of 1 October 2026 Bitget lists 862 active perps, 345 of them stocks, commodities, FX or other real-world assets. BloFin lists 495, 115 of them real-world assets. If you want stock, commodity or FX perps on the same exchange as your crypto, Bitget has the larger set.

Both exchanges offer up to 150x on their highest-leverage market, and most markets allow less. Both pay funding every 1 hour, 4 hours or 8 hours depending on the market. Check a market's interval before you hold it: an hourly market settles 24 times a day, an 8-hour market three times. The list further down this page shows the markets both exchanges have and each one's funding rate.

Who can use them

Bitget requires KYC. It has been mandatory since September 2023, and unverified accounts can only withdraw and close positions.

BloFin limits access without ID instead of closing it. Trading starts without ID, inside limits that verification lifts. You can trade futures with no ID and no leverage limit, but withdrawals are capped at 20,000 USDT a day until you verify.

Token

Bitget's token is $BGB.

Reading the numbers on this page

Both exchanges publish open interest as one side of open positions, so the open interest row and chart above compare like with like. That differs from exchanges that publish longs plus shorts, which read about twice as large.

Neither exchange has a TVL row or chart, as is usual for centralized exchanges. The Head to head table shows no TVL for this pair. The BTC page lists every exchange that lists BTC, with funding, price, open interest and liquidity.

  • Pick Bitget if you want more markets: 862 perps against 495.
