allBingX vs Kraken Futures: which to use
BingX vs Kraken Futures is two centralized exchanges with the same base fees, 2 bp maker and 5 bp taker, so the choice rests on markets, leverage and access. BingX lists 1240 perps, 234 of them real-world assets, with up to 500x leverage. Kraken Futures lists 278, 19 of them real-world assets, with up to 100x and hourly funding on every market. BingX lets unverified accounts withdraw but not trade. Kraken Futures requires full verification and is closed to several regions. Pick on market range, leverage and where you live.
How each exchange is built
BingX is a centralized exchange (CEX): you open an account with the company, and the account holds your funds. It matches orders on a central limit order book. Kraken Futures works the same way: an account at the company, with orders matched on a central limit order book. For the trader this means both accounts sit with the exchange, not in your own wallet.
Fees and what they mean
BingX charges 2 bp maker and 5 bp taker at the base tier, per BingX's fee schedule. Kraken Futures charges the same 2 bp maker and 5 bp taker, per Kraken's fee schedule.
A market order pays the taker fee to open and again to close: 10 bp per round trip on both. A limit order that rests on the book pays the maker fee instead, 2 bp. With identical fee rates, any gap in what a trade costs comes from somewhere else. Slippage is the price you move by eating through the order book, and it grows with size. The cost table above adds the fee twice and the measured slippage at each size from $1k to $5M, and the fee alone does not show that. Every exchange's trading cost is compared on one page.
Markets and leverage
As of 1 October 2026 BingX lists 1240 active perps, 234 of them stocks, commodities, FX or other real-world assets. Kraken Futures lists 278, 19 of them real-world assets. If you want stocks or commodities next to your crypto, BingX has the larger set by count.
BingX offers up to 500x on its highest-leverage market and Kraken Futures up to 100x. Most markets on both allow less, so check the limit of the market you trade.
Funding is the periodic payment between longs and shorts, and a positive rate means longs pay shorts. Kraken Futures pays it every hour on every market. BingX pays every 1 hour, 4 hours or 8 hours depending on the market. An hourly market settles 24 times a day, an 8-hour market three times, so check a market's interval before you hold a position through several payments. The list further down this page shows the markets both exchanges have, each one's funding rate and the Net 7d figure for your position size.
Who can use them
Both exchanges require KYC. BingX asks for advanced KYC to deposit or trade. Unverified accounts can only withdraw, up to 20,000 USDT a day, and rules vary by region. Kraken Futures requires full verification. It is not offered in the US (a separate US product exists), Canada, Australia (wholesale only) or to retail UK clients.
Reading the numbers on this page
Both exchanges publish open interest as one side of open positions, so the open interest row and chart above compare like for like. Neither exchange publishes TVL, as is usual for a centralized exchange, so the TVL row and chart show no figure for either.
Volume, depth, funding and trading cost change every minute. Read them from the Head to head table and the charts above, not from this text. The BTC page shows every exchange that lists BTC with its funding and liquidity.
