Gate vs BingX: which to use

Gate vs BingX is two centralized exchanges with the same base fees: 2 bp maker and 5 bp taker. Both hold your funds in an account and match on an order book. The choice rests on leverage, market count and KYC rules. BingX lists 1240 perp markets and goes up to 500x. Gate lists 1022, of which 301 are real-world assets, and goes up to 200x. Pick Gate for more stocks and commodities, and BingX for more markets overall and higher leverage.

How each exchange is built

Gate is a centralized exchange (CEX): you open an account with the company, and the account holds your funds. BingX is built the same way. Both match orders on a central limit order book. For you, that means an account at a company on both sides, not a self-custody wallet.

Fees and what they mean

Gate charges 2 bp maker and 5 bp taker at the base tier, per Gate's fee announcement. BingX charges the same 2 bp maker and 5 bp taker, per BingX's fee schedule.

The rates are identical, so the fee does not separate them. A market order pays the taker fee to open and again to close: 10 bp per round trip on both. A limit order that rests on the book pays the maker fee instead, 2 bp.

Fees are only part of a trade's cost. Slippage is the price you move by eating through the order book, and it grows with size. The cost table above adds the taker fee twice and the measured slippage at each size from $1k to $5M. Any difference in cost between the two shows up in that table, and every exchange's trading cost is compared on one page.

Markets and leverage

As of 1 October 2026, BingX lists 1240 active perpetual markets, 234 of them stocks, commodities, FX or other real-world assets. Gate lists 1022, of which 301 are real-world assets. BingX has more markets in total. Gate has more of the real-world kind.

BingX offers up to 500x on its highest-leverage market. Gate offers up to 200x. Most markets on both allow less, so check the cap on the market you trade.

Both pay funding every 1 hour, 4 hours or 8 hours depending on the market. An hourly market settles 24 times a day, an 8-hour market three times. The list further down this page shows the markets both exchanges have and each one's funding rate. The funding matrix shows the rest.

Who can use them

Gate requires KYC before the futures account opens. Unverified accounts can only withdraw and close positions.

BingX requires advanced KYC to deposit or trade. Unverified accounts can only withdraw, up to 20,000 USDT a day. Rules vary by region on BingX.

Tokens

Gate's token is $GT.

Reading the numbers on this page

The two exchanges count open interest differently. Gate publishes longs plus shorts, both sides of every position. BingX publishes one side of open positions. For the same positions, Gate's figure reads about twice as large, so the open interest row and chart above are not a like-for-like comparison of size.

Neither exchange publishes TVL, as is usual for a centralized exchange, so the TVL row and chart show no figure for either.

Which one fits you

  • Pick Gate if you trade stocks, commodities or FX perps: 301 real-world asset markets against 234 on BingX.
  • Pick Gate if you want its $GT token.
  • Pick BingX if you want the widest choice of perps: 1240 markets against 1022.
  • Pick BingX if you need more than 200x: it goes up to 500x on its highest-leverage market.
