10-28 13:40Ondo PerpsListingOpenAI Private Market Note (OPAIPon) is now live as collateral. In a landmark first, tokenized exposure to OpenAI is now usable as collateral on the same platform as pre-IPO OpenAI perps. This unlocks a new basis trade: Hold spot OPAIPon for tokenized OpenAI exposure, post it as collateral, and short the OPENAI perp. When the OPENAI perp trades at a premium to OPAIPon, this basis trade aims to capture that gap as the two prices converge. Holding spot and shorting the perp can capture that convergence if spot rises toward the perp, the perp falls toward spot, or both. Traders can also earn funding payments when rates are positive. Using OPAIPon as collateral also makes hedging more capital efficient. Traders can hold tokenized OpenAI exposure and use those same holdings to contribute margin for a short OPENAI perp, reducing the need for additional stablecoin collateral. Deploy OPAIPon as productive capital ↓ @OndoPerps on X ↗
